Hays CISD Social Studies Instructional Coach:
Welcome to our site where instructional resources can be found, shared and enjoyed. This site will be updated weekly as I locate/learn/share more ideas and tools on improving instruction. I hope this becomes a useful site. Please email me with any suggestions you feel might benefit our students in Hays CISD.
Greetings,
Here is a Grayling caught on the Kenektok River in Western Alaska. I enjoy family, hunting (archery), fishing and working on our cars. My professional experience includes working in K-12 schools as well as typical middle and high school settings. I have worked in education for 21 amazing years.
My teaching experiences ranged from grades 7 through 12 including a few years as an adjunct college instructor. I attended George Fox University in Oregon and completed undergraduate work in 1991, and completed my Masters Degree from University of Montana in Missoula in 2010. Much of my experience has been spent working in different locations around the State of Alaska. A few places I have worked are: Kodiak Island, Anaktuvuk Pass (above the Arctic Circle), the Kenai Peninsula and Quinhagak Alaska. In 2007 my family and I moved to Buda TX to warm up. Job done I'd say.
Please let me know how I can support you in your task to provide the most effective educational experience possible for your students. I certainly look forward to learning from you.
Have a fantastic school year!
Sincerely,
Tim Jacobson
